Paddle Sizing

In the same way you try on a new pair of jeans before you buy them, a Paddle Sizing session is an opportunity to try out a range of different paddle options to help you find your best fit. Choosing the right paddle may give you that extra few percent of performance you're looking for to be able to hit your goals.

There are 4 main variables to consider when building your perfect paddle:

• Blade shape
• Blade size
• Paddle length
• Shaft stiffness

Additionally, you should also consider your goals, where you are in your journey to achieving your goals, your medical and injury history, how much coaching you've received and will receive in the future, as well as your personal preference.

Obsessed Paddlesports has all the know-how and a large range of demonstrator paddles to help you design your perfect paddle. During a Paddle Sizing session we'll start you off with something similar to your current paddle to establish a baseline. If you're new to paddling we'll use some generic rules of thumb to find a good start point for you. We'll ask you a bunch of questions to learn more about you and your goals, then suggest a few different options for you to try, getting your feedback after trying each option, as we narrow down to your perfect paddle.
